The platform will be one of the several special features showcased at the event’s 30th edition in NYC.
Entering its 30th year of production, ICFF NY, North America’s platform for global design, will host the Handmade in Germany World Tour at the Jacob K. Javits Center May 20-23, 2018. ICFF hosts over 800 international exhibitors and attracts over 36,000 industry peers in the residential, commercial and hospitality sectors. Designers, architects, developers and better retailers gather to view the world’s finest and most innovative, highly focused selections under one roof.
“ICFF is delighted to welcome this dramatic presentation of the best in German artistic innovation, creativity and design. I am certain our audience and NYCxDesign participants will benefit greatly from this unique exhibition”, says Kevin O’Keefe, Show Director, ICFF.
Handmade in Germany is an international exhibition presenting a selection of contemporary high-quality, hand-made precious objects and cultural assets, all manufactured in Germany, making ICFF an impeccable platform to showcase the array of masterworks from 180 German manufacturers, artisans and designers. Handmade in Germany is a journey through the objects and people of modern and traditional Germany, from those of the Alpine foothills of Bavaria to the Frisian Islands of the North Sea.
“Direktorenhaus Berlin is excited to introduce the world of German luxury manufacturers & high-end design to the New York audience, and to celebrate the 30th edition of ICFF with its exhibition Handmade in Germany,” said Matthias Philip, Project Manager, Handmade in Germany.
Doubling in size over the past three years, ICFF will encompass the entire main level of the Javits Center in 2018. Now comprised of a majority of international exhibitors, ICFF is the foundation of NYCxDesign, New York’s official design week and citywide celebration of global design with 350,000 participating design professionals and enthusiasts.
